Welcome and Introduction

In the first block of the event you will receive information about the university, the different departments and programmes as well as the particularities of the German university system. Moreover, the coordinators of the different programmes as well as the EUSMAT team will be presented. You will have the opportunity to get direct advice about the academic activities to be done during your stay at the Saarland University.

Intercultural Communication Training

Intercultural training plays an important role in the preparation of students for their stay abroad. Starting with an orientation before the beginning of your studies, you will then be prepared for the intercultural challenges during your studies at universities or in your careers.

Job Application Training

In this workshop you will learn how to apply properly for a job. Cherry Kent, free-lance HR Consultant with over 12 years of experience in Luxembourg and the UK, will show you how to present yourself confidently in a job interview and how to prepare attractive CVs and Cover Letters.

Tours and networking activities

You will have the chance to know the university campus as well as details of the city during the guided tour in Saarbrücken. Moreover, you will have the possibility of meeting other national and international students during a social gathering.

The event takes place from October 10th to 13th 2023 at the Campus of the Saarland University in Building D3.3, in the Seminar room on the first floor. The tentative programme can be seen in following table:
