If you have the will and drive to seize it, AMASE offers you the opportunity to seriously challenge and develop yourself in much more than academics. I recognized that chance and embraced it completely.

Give a short description of where you work (company, country) and what you do there.
Canadian Government
Why did you choose AMASE?
Your motivation for choosing the programme (e.g. seeing different cultures, learning new languages, expanding your engineering/material science knowledge, international studies experience, etc.).
My mind was focused on two things when considering doing a master’s degree: 1) I wanted the experience of living in Europe, 2) I wanted to study something I’m interested in. AMASE offered both of these, plus the necessity (not the chance) to live in two different countries and the opportunity to force myself to learn another language (German). If you have the will and drive to seize it, AMASE offers you the opportunity to seriously challenge and develop yourself in much more than academics. I recognized that chance and embraced it completely.
Did you experience any special moments during the programme? Tell us about them!
These can be funny/interesting/memorable experiences at the partner universities or in the study country.
Get out and explore the area around Saarbrücken, every is so close with the train. Go to Speyer! Go to Kirkel! Go to Burg Eltz! Go drink wine! There are events everywhere every weekend! Get out and experience it!
What did you learn/experience during your time in the programme?
You could write about your experience at the universities (students, courses, material science studies, etc.) or your time in the different countries (cultures, people, etc.).
What a person is capable of if they combine personal effort with opportunity! The language, the cultural exchange, the deeper understanding and appreciation of the world and yourself. I finished AMASE a different person than I was starting it. The degree is important, everything else is priceless.
