UL: Nancy, LTU: Luleå

The AMASE programme has allowed me to share with students of different nationalities, like French, Swiss, Spanish and Swedish. . One of this students was Rosana: a Colombian AMASE-ing student at the University of Padova in Italy. I’m really proud to have a friend like her.

I did my first year in France at Lorraine University! And for my 2nd year I will be in Sweden at LTU.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE AMASE?
What were your motivations?
Within the AMASE Master I not only gain valuable knowledge in Materials Science and Engineering, but also become fluent in two of the four most widespread European languages.
I study with local students and get to know the culture of the host countries, increasing my later job opportunities.
WHY FRANCE?
Why did you choose UL as your Entrance University?
Since I was a child I always dreamed of visiting France given the linguistic and cultural similarities between France and Morocco.
WHAT ABOUT SWEDEN?
Why did you choose LTU as your Second University?
I want to challenge myself, improving my English skills while being part of an excellent educational system.

Special moments during your first year
Did you experience any special moments during the first year of programme?
During my first semester as an AMASE-ing student, I visited Belgium, Italy, Germany and Luxembourg and many French cities, this program really helped me to live the adventure of traveling around the world and to discover the culture and traditions of each country.
Student life in Nancy
What do you think about the student life in Nancy?
Student life here in Nancy is very pleasant, people is very friendly and welcoming. Since my arrival, I have never spent a weekend alone at home. I was even invited to a local family home as an international student for a cultural exchange and to discover Lorraine’s cuisine.
