AMASE Integration Week 2025

The IW will take place:

📅 From Saturday, August 23rd to Friday, August 28th, 2025

📍 Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany

Digital part of the IW will take place on August 13th and 18th, 2025.

ATTENTION! The participation in both the Integration Week and the Professional Summer School is compulsory and part of the Programme.

Don’t worry, besides the informative parts and workshops we will also organize fun activities and excursions!

Only if you register on time and pay the 200 € deposit before 1st July 2025 (part of your participation fees), will EUSMAT be able to save you a spot and book accommodation for you. The accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and some other meals, as well as the local transport and the excursions during the event will be covered by EUSMAT.

08:00 – 08:20 – Meeting point at youth hostel. Please wear closed shoes (e.g. sneakers) and long trousers for security reasons and we recommend bringing a jacket as well.

09:30 – 12:30 – Excursion at Erlebnisbergwerk Velsen
12:30 – 13:00 – Bus ride to restaurant
13:00 – 15:30 – Lunch at Restaurant Zur Wilden Ente

Thursday, August 28th

08:00 – Departure from Youth Hostel to Luxembourg (with students from LCT). Please be on time!
> Participants must bring their passport to the excursion! There will be a border control to enter Gemrany.
> AMASE students can ask for a lunch paket at the Youth Hostel to bring to the trip (included in EUSMAT’s services).

10:15 – 12:15 – Activity at EU Parlament in Luxemburg (You need passport or EU ID card to enter).

12:15 – open end – Free time in Luxxembourg city and drive back to Saarbrücken with public bus.
> We recommend staying in groups for the travel back. Take the public bus from outside Luxembourg Gare. Buy the ticket with the bus driver or online through the app. It costs 5€. Please make sure you don’t take the last bus at night just to avoid any complications, there are no buses after 8 pm. Here you can search for the schedule.

Attention! In Saarbrücken, you will need to show the bus driver your transport ticket every time you get in the bus. Here you can find the public transport schedule.
In Luxemburg, public transport is completely free (bus and metro). Make sure to bring your passport with you (not only residency permit), there will be a border control!

Accommodation

Accommodation is included in the registration and will be in shared rooms (2 people each) at the youth hostel Saarbrücken. Accommodation includes breakfast.
